LENNY'S LEGACY is a charitable organization dedicated to helping raise Alzheimer's Awareness 

There are not enough words to describe this man. Lenny was our dad. He was a dedicated father, man of faith and loyal city servant. Lenny raised six kids along with his wife Rita Ann. He held many jobs throughout his life, but his most proud was his 30 years on the Lakewood Fire Department. Our dad went to work every day to fight fires and keep people safe. Once retired, he took a part time job as a custodial engineer at St Colman Church. He spent many years devoting his time to keeping his church beautiful and enrichening his Faith. Our dad was truly our everyday hero

My name is Rita and I am the youngest of Lenny's six children.  After my dad passed away from dementia, I attended my first Walk 2 End Alzheimer's. The walk was so inspiring that I decided to form my own team for the following year. Covid then came along and we had to make our own because the Cleveland walk had been cancelled. After gathering a group of friends and family, I began to realize how many people are affected by this terrible disease. Then my brothers and sisters and I decided to create Lenny's Legacy and continue to raise money and awareness to those touched by this disease

All proceeds are donated to the Walk 2 End Alzheimer's in Cleveland, Ohio

LENNY'S LEGACY hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including our annual golf outing, seltzer soiree, online raffles and many more

We work very closely with the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Cleveland and can tailor any education events to your needs

Rita C. Gaertner (the youngest child of Lenny) has been participating in the walk for over 3 years. She currently sits on the board of the Cleveland chapter and is co-chairing the 2023 walk
